James Michael “Jim” McLean
– 66, of Coldbrook, passed away peacefully, surrounded by
his family, Monday, December 18, 2017 in Shannex–Blomidon
Court, Greenwich. Born in Kentville, he was the son of the late Gladys
(Kinsman) McLean. He graduated from the Drafting Program at the Nova
Scotia Community College, Kingstec Campus, Kentville. He was then
employed for a short period of time with the Department of Highways
and then worked for many years as a Supervisor with Weavexx,
Kentville, from where he retired. Jim loved his wife, children and
granddaughter. He enjoyed music, sports, dogs, bird watching, going to
camp and walking on the beach. He is survived by his wife of 36 years,
Sandra “Sandy” (Barron); a daughter, Katie (Nic)
Schofield, New Minas; a son, Mike (Megan), Port Williams; a
granddaughter, Madelyn Schofield; a sister, Linda (Tony) Huntley,
Lower Branch. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation,
by request. A Celebration of Life and reception will be held from 1-3
p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017 in the White Family Funeral Home,
Kentville. Burial will follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill.
Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or a charity
of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White
Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
