James Joseph Dempsey
With deepest sadness we announce the peaceful passing of James Joseph Dempsey surrounded by his loving family on December 11, 2017. James was a strong man who raised seven children alongside his beautiful late wife Marina.
He will be missed by his son Melvin ( Sherry) and his six daughters; Judy ( Bob ), Audrey ( Martin ), Rose Marie, Evelyn ( Joseph ), Lisa ( Adam ), Annett ( Chris ), 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
James fought in the Korean War, he was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Knights of Columbus. He will be deeply missed by everyone he met.
A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, December 13 at 1:00 pm in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Road, Halifax Fr. Duncan McMaster Celebrant. Memorial Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
