At Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on October 13, 2017, Jim Holden of Simcoe in his 89th year. Husband of the late Dawn (nee Lauzon, 2010). Dear father of Doug Holden and his wife Cathy and Carol Shafto and her husband Richard all of Simcoe. Cherished grandfather to Ryan Holden (Amanda), Amanda Holden, Pepper Ralf (Bud), Landon Lucas, Christopher Shafto Lion and Jade-Skye. Great grandfather to Lachlan. Jim was employed by Holden Plumbing for many years and was a twenty-five years with the Simcoe Fire Department attaining the rank of Captain. He was also a member of the United Empire Loyalists, Norfolk Historical Society, Ontario Genealogical Society and Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 79. Friends are invited to call at THE FERRIS FUNERAL HOME, 214 Norfolk St., S., Simcoe on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where service will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
