We are terribly saddened to announce Jim’s passing at home surrounded by family and friends. Jim is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Agnes Grenning; brothers, Francis, Jerome “Sam” Grenning and Donny Collins; mother-in-law, Gertrude Ginn and sister-in-law Cathy Grenning. Jim Leaves behind his beautiful and devoted wife, Gloria (Ginn); his sons, James (Janine) and Colin; father-in-law, Levi Ginn; brothers, John (Deb) and Billy (Tammy) Collins; sisters, Linda (John) Ridgley, Janet (Pat) Norman, Ann Marie (Jerry) Taylor and Catherine (Vince) Spurvey; sister-in-law Linda Grenning and his brothers-in-law, Jim (Marylou) and Garfield (Natalie) Ginn as well as a huge circle of nieces, nephews and an amazing group of friends – all of whom loved Jimmy dearly. In addition to the love of his family, Jim loved his home, his beautiful gardens, loved to travel, to cook and clean, hence his nickname “Mr. Clean”. Jimmy had an innate talent for music, specifically the spoons and harmonica. He was immensely proud of his two boys and left them with his many passions. Jim will be forever missed and always loved. He leaves each of us with a smile, a fond memory and a funny story. The family would like to thank all those involved in Jimmy’s care – doctors, nurses, family and friends, you all know who you are. Arrangements entrusted to Caul’s Funeral Home, as per Jim’s request, there will be no viewing, but the family invites you to join them for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Teresa’s Church on Mundy Pond Road, Tuesday, December 12 at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or another Charity of One’s Choice.
