Passed peacefully but suddenly away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s on Friday, December 9, 2016, James F. Rose of Western Bay, age 65 years. Predeceased by parents: John Fred and Elvie Rose; brother-in-law: Lou Hudson. Leaving to mourn, partner: Mary Oliver, Gull Island; three daughters: Wendy (Scott) Traverse, Western Bay, Kimberley (Tim) Curnew, and Amy (Albert) Slade, both of Salmon Cove; one son: Jamie (Susan), Norman Wells, NWT; eight grandchildren: Noah, Nicholas, Rielly, Parker, Kaden, Kendra, Luke, and Anna; three sisters: Marina Hudson, Adam’s Cove, Ethel (Wendell) Reid, Western Bay, and Ruby (George) Peckham, Salmon Cove; extended family: Jolene, Phillip, Tori, John, Chris, Bernie, Jaden, and Chad; also a large number of other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Sunday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Monday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon; 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Tuesday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, December 13 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Inurnment in the United Cemetery, Western Bay South. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the James F. Rose Memorial Fund c/o Noel’s Funeral Home, 106 Water Street, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A9.
