Obituary for James Crawford
James Crawford went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 following a long battle with dementia at the age of 90 years. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. James was born to the late Alexander and Sarah Crawford in Toronto, Ontario. He moved back to North Ireland with his parents one year later until he married Margaret Black and then moved to Canada. He is survived by his wife Margaret Crawford; his two sons James and Mark; and his grandchildren, Jason, Mark, Jennifer, Jesse, and Nicole. He was predeceased by his brother Alexander Crawford. Memorial service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church (9920 Fairmount Drive SE) on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 1:00 pm. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in James’ name directly to the Alzheimer Society of Canada (20 Eglinton Avenue West, 16th Floor, Toronto, Ontario, M4R 1K8; 1-800-616-8816; www.alzheimer.ca).
