It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a dear husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. James Charles (Charlie) Hutchings passed away on Saturday, October 21st, 2017 at the age 66 years surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his infant daughter Barbara-Ann, his parents James and Janet, special grandmother Elizabeth Walsh, brother Bruce, sister Rosalind, and brother-in-law Billy. Charlie will be fondly remembered and forever missed by his loving wife Diane; his children: Tina (Dennis), Sonia (Loderick), Sherry, Charles Jr. (Chuck), Bruce, Cory, and Austin (Jessica); his step-children: Steven, Denise (Steve), Karen (George), Krista (Michael), and Jim (Laura); his brothers: Randy (Bev), Jeff (Charmaine), Rod (Judy); his sisters: Betty, and Lorraine; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and very special friends including Juanita, Barbara, Tom Moret & wife Theresa (Boose), Ron Rose, Jack Hickey (Bun), and Judy Hawco. Charlie’s family would also like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, and staff of the Carbonear General Hospital 7th floor, and 6th floor Palliative Care Unit, especially Reuben. Your kindness, compassion, and devotion will be remembered always. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Tuesday from 12 noon – 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, October 26th, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. from St. John Bosco Church. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. The family will be excepting flowers, however would greatly appreciate a donation made to the Hutchings family.
