James Cecil Hourihan
1927-2017
James Cecil Hourihan, 89, of Woodstock NB passed away on
Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Upper River Valley Hospital Waterville
NB. James was born in Avondale NB on October 17, 1927 son of the late
Cecil and Mary (Gallagher) Hourihan.
James is survived by his wife Dorothy Chase, children;
Francis Sullivan, Carol Sullivan, Shelia Sullivan, Agnes Hourihan
(Dale), step children; Wayne Chase (Barbara), Glendon Chase (Judy),
Haldon Chase (Sharon), Connie Pond (Carmen), Kevin Chase (Maureen),
grandchildren, Tonya, Joey, Mary, Sonia, Bobbie-Jo, Jimmy, Matthew,
Nathan, several great grandchildren, sister, Rose Brinkman (Jacob),
nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, James was predeceased by his first wife,
Fern, stepson Robert Chase, two infant sons, James Cecil Jr, Peter
Carl and a sister, Agnes.
Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral
Home & Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road
Jacksonville on Sunday, April 16, 2017 from 6 PM to 9 PM. Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 3 PM
from St. Gertrude’s Roman Catholic Church with Fr. John
Keoughan. Interment will be held in the St. Bonaventure Catholic
Cemetery at later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a memorial of the
donor’s choice.
