MURRAY, James Allan
1950 – 2017
Mr. James Allan ‘Jim’ Murray of Red Deer, formerly of Killam, Alberta, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the age of 67 years. Jim was born on February 13, 1950 at Kingston, Ontario. He spent his life working in the Oil Patch as a Safety Consultant. Jim loved golfing, fly fishing, camping and the Blue Jays. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his son, Jeff Murray, daughter, Sue (Darren) Dixon, granddaughter, Britney Dixon (Kyle) and one great grandson, Karter, all of Blackfalds, Alberta; as well as his cat, Frisky who was very special to him. He will also be sadly missed by four sisters and a brother. Jim was predeceased by his parents, James and Theresa Murray and a brother, Bill Murray. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. A Public Graveside Service will be held at the Killam Community Cemetery, Killam, Alberta on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Jim’s honor may be made directly to a charity of the donor’s choice.
