J Stanley Trelford - 2017

J Stanley Trelford – 2017

“Stan the Man” Trelford has traded his ninth life for peace at last. He fought the good fight and passed away surrounded by family and friends at the Saugeen Memorial Hospital in the wee hours of March 30th, 2017. Stanley marched to the beat of his own drum for each of his 83 years and will be sadly missed by his children Max and his wife Cathy, Wendy and her husband Chris, and Whitney and her husband Dave. He is survived by his grandchildren Alicia, Sarah, James, Jordan, Stephen, Ian, and Amy and by his great grandchildren Rylah, Madison, Jack, Alex, Ava, and Jack Arthur. He now joins his beautiful wife Constance June in a Leonard Cohen after world. Stanley was the second best Tory he knew and was a poor, struggling Bruce County Boy to the bone. His legacy will live on in the walls he has built and the stories we will all continue to tell. Stanley left us courageously.
Friends will be received at the T.A. Brown Funeral Home, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, 519-832-2222 on Wednesday, April 5th, 2017 from 7-9pm. A Celebration of the Life and Shenanigans of J. Stanley will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, April 6th at 1:00pm. In the meantime, to all of you reading this: “I know it’s difficult, but try to behave……”
Memorial donations to the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter would be appreciated by family.
