Mary Margaret “Isobel” Kirk (nee McKay) in her 95th year passed away at her home with family by her side on December 31st, 2016. Isobel is predeceased by her cherished husband, Dwayne Kirk. She will be sadly missed by her loving daughter Cathy Niergarth (Bob) of Peterborough, her beloved grandchildren Kirk Niergarth (Allison) and Laura Niergarth (Andrew) and her dear great-grandchildren, Farren and Archie all of Alberta. Isobel will always be held dear by her devoted brother, Wilmer McKay and his wife Beverly. She is survived by all of her many caring nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Martha McKay and her brothers Jack and Murray McKay. Isobel was an amazing lady with a keen interest in everyone she met. She was able to live independently in the home that she loved up to the last. She was loved and admired by all who knew her, family and friends alike. We will all miss Isobel and remember her with love.
A Funeral Service for Isobel Kirk will be held at the Central Westside United Church, 310 – 10th St W, Owen Sound on Saturday, January 14th, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jack Tweddle officiating. Visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation, Residential Hospice of Grey-Bruce or a charity of your choice as an expression of sympathy and may be made through the BRIAN E.
