Irvine “Glen” Morgan
1929-2017
Glen Morgan of Millville, NB passed away on February 4, 2017 at his
home. Glen was born in Millville, NB on October 20, 1929, a son of
the late William and Margaret (Clark) Morgan.
He was employed with Harry Greenlaw as a farmer, with Ashley Colter
and Diamond Construction as a lumber camp cook and with G&T
Woodworking Factory as a carpenter. Glen was a volunteer fire fighter
for a number of years, also a member of the York Sunbury Search and
Rescue and a Councilor for the Village of Millville for 15 years.
Glen had a deep love for his family and his first priority in life was
raising his daughters with his wife, Bertha. He spent a lot of time
with his grandsons teaching them life skills. He also looked forward
to visits with his great granddaughters.
Glen used to enjoy mathematics. He also enjoyed snowmobiling and four
wheeling with his friends. He enjoyed going to church and spending
time with people in the community until his health started to
fail.
Glen is survived by his wife of 69 years, Bertha (Greene) Morgan; his
children, Glendeena Marr (David McConaghy), Nackawic, NB, Jocelyn
Martin (Rick Dionne), Temperance Vale, NB and Dawna Gallant (Kevin),
Waasis, NB; his grandsons, Tavis Marr (Lisa), Brandon Marr (Linda),
Kyle Gallant (Megan), Korey Gallant (Melissa) and Kurtis Gallant; his
great-granddaughters, Lorinda Crouse, Brooklynn Marr and Penelope
Gallant; his sister, Ruth Elkins, several nieces, nephews and
relatives from the Greene family.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Rev.
William Morgan, a sister June Greer, an infant brother Morley, a
grandson Whylie Martin, a son-in-law, Robert Martin, a sister-in-law,
Elsie Morgan and two brothers-in-law, Eugene Greer and Hugh
Elkins.
At Glen’s request there will be no visitation or funeral
service. A gathering for family and friends will be scheduled at a
later date to celebrate Glen’s life.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Glen, the family
has suggested the Hawkins Corner Cemetery or a charity of the
donor’s choice.
