Obituary Overview
Irene Kozenko
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Irene Kozenko on Sunday, November 19, 2017. She was born on Thursday, July 19, 1951 in Strong Pine, Saskatchewan. Irene attended school in Meath Park and helped her parents on the farm until she met Donald Davidson. They were married on January 29, 1970. They had three children, Steven, Darlene and Harley, before going their separate ways. Irene did many things during her life. She managed a restaurant in Choiceland and worked as a camp cleaner. Irene enjoyed crocheting, knitting blankets for her family, and spending time with her family. Her favorite pastime was gardening, which she especially liked to do with Darlene. Irene was very caring, and could be counted on to help in times of need. She was a trustworthy, non-judgmental and energetic woman. She loved meeting new people, and would always bring a smile to the face of anyone who was sad. Irene is survived by her daughter, Darlene Davidson (Kerry Fidder); her son, Harley (Lasha) Davidson; her grandchildren, Bradley (Wendy), Bret (Jessica), Brennan (Mckenzie), Brandon, Kelsey, Donavin, Darla, Briggt, Dillan, Casandra, Harley Jr, and Connor; her great-grandchildren, Nova, Joy, Thomas, and Olivia; her brother, Archie Kozenko; and sister, Rose (Leon) Chenier. Irene was predeceased by Donald Davidson; her son, Steven Davidson; her parents, Steven and Annie Kozenko; her brother, Peter Kozenko; and her sister, Mary Kozenko. At the family’s wish, there will be no service. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Funeral Home, 306-764-2727, Carla Jesso, Funeral Director.
