Obituary for Irene Basaraba
On November 10, 2017, Irene June Basaraba (nee Shewchuk) of Edmonton passed away peacefully at the age of 86 years.
Irene leaves her devoted husband, John; and four daughters, Mary Lou (Tony Anderson) Basaraba, Catherine Basaraba, Sharon (Shawn Thomson) Basaraba, and Joanne Anderson. Irene also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Iain and Heather Anderson, and Georgia and Charlotte Thomson; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Irene, adored wife, Mom and Baba will be sorely missed; she was a grateful, kind and loving soul to everyone she knew.
Prayer Service Wednesday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue.
Funeral Service Thursday, November 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel. Interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Association of Alberta, Head Office, 102, 5636 Burbank Crescent SE, Calgary, AB T2H 1Z6 or online at www.parkinsonalberta.ca.
