Service Details
Inaam (Rahime) Tarrabain lovingly known as Anne, was born on May 1, 1934. She immigrated to Canada in 1952. She met Mohammed Sid Tarrabain (Jim), who had immigrated to Canada in 1950. In 1954, Inaam and Jim married and moved to Lac La Biche. Inaam and Jim worked hard, building a successful mink ranch business which they operated for 25 years and raising a family of 10 – one son and 9 daughters – Sid, Fatima, Seham, Tammy, Mysoon, Soad, Amane, Hyatt, Heyam and Senia. In 1974, they bought the Gulf gas station and service station which has undergone many changes over the years and is presently a Dodge dealership – Tarrabain Motors, Jim’s Carwash and Automotive service station in Lac La Biche.
Inaam has been in Canada for 64 years and lived in Lac La Biche surrounded by many family and friends. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered. She is survived by her daughters Fatima, Seham (Sine) ,Tamame (Jean Pierre), Mysoon (Hidar), Soad (Joe), Amane (Wayne), Hyatt, Heyam (Hank), Senia (Elias) and 18 grandchildren, Zeher, Alia, Chloe, Mecca, Jordana, Ali, Methal, Tamam, Adam, Miya, Sydney, Kamilla, Sammy, Nadya, Sophia, Kareem, Zackary, and Amanee and two great grandchildren: Ava and Jenna, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She is pre-deceased by her husband of 57 years (Jim) and her son Sid.
A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday October 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Al Kareem Mosque in Lac La Biche, AB and interment will follow in the Willow Park Cemetery, Lac La Biche, AB.
As a tribute to her love of community and in memory of Inaam, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lac La Biche Regional Foundation ( www.llbhealth.com) or the Lac La Biche Muslim Ladies Association.
