Ina Joyce Mantey passed away peacefully on November 9th, 2017 surrounded by family. Ina was born on July 29th, 1927 in Pickering Twp. Her father passed away suddenly when she was 8 months old and she was raised by her mother Florence in Fort William, Ontario. She went to school and worked in Fort William and Schreiber, Ontario.
In 1967, she married the love of her life Willi, and they bought their farm in Eton Rugby. In 2009, they left the farm and moved to Dryden. Ina loved her family, her cats and dogs, knitting, crocheting and gardening. She was a long-time member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church and a steadfast Christian her whole life.
Ina is survived by her sons Wayne (Kim) and Ken (Michelle); grandchildren Jeannine (Chad), Heather (Mark), Amy (Peter), Andrew (Victoria), Connor and Kierstie (Daniel); great grandchildren Joshua, Rylee, Emily and Aimsely.
She was pre-deceased by husband Willi, great-granddaughter Mia, mother Florence and father John.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial funeral service will be held Tuesday November 14th, 2017 at 11:00 am in Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Dryden with Pastor James Wood officiating. Ina will be interred with Willi in Waldholf Cemetery on the same date. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Our Saviour Lutheran Church or the Ontario Provincial Police Youth Foundation through Stevens Funeral Home P.O. Box 412, Dryden Ont. P8N2Z1.
