Ilene Lutz
December 5, 1926 – November 20, 2017
Ilene Hazel Lutz, lifetime resident of the Bluesky and Fairview area passed away in Fairview on November 20, 2017, just two weeks before her 91st birthday.
Ilene was the eldest child of Alex and Florence Cunningham and, depending on whether you believed what her mother said or what was on her birth certificate, she was born December 4th or 5th, 1926.
Siblings Viola, Jack and Marion completed the family.
John Lutz and Ilene married in Fairview in 1946 and immediately took up farming near Bluesky.
They welcomed three children, Lloyd, Leroy and Janice to their family.
Ilene remained on that farm, tending a large garden and keeping chickens, until moving to Garrison Manor in Fairview in 2014.
Mobility issues following a broken hip dictated a move to Harvest Lodge in 2016 where she resided until her passing.
Ilene is predeceased by her parents, husband, children and brother.
Survivors include her sisters Viola and Marion and their families, numerous cousins and many members of the Lutz family.
