Leaman White at Corner
Brook Long Term Care on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the age of 88
years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sons:
Ian Todd, Dean (Lisa), and Darren (Nancy); daughter: Darla (Eric);
grandchildren: Ian (Megan), Allison, Jessica, Ingrid (Adam), Andrew
(Jennifer), Philip (Diane), Stephen (Nadine) and their children;
brother: Bob (Effie) White; sisters: Joan Frampton, and Monica
(George) Jennings; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Betty (2004);
daughter: Dianne; Parents: Herbert and Joyce White; brothers: Garland
and Byron; and sister: Neatha. Hollie was a very active member of his
Corps at the Salvation Army Citadel where he served as Corps
Treasurer, President of the Men’s Fellowship Club, member of
the League of Mercy, he also spent many devoted hours and years with
the Cheer Kettle. He was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt, trap, fish,
pick berries, and loved to plant and set gardens. The family would
like to thank ALC and Long-Term Care in Corner Brook for their
kindness, Care, and compassion of dad during his stay there. Funeral
service will be held at The Salvation Army Citadel, Clarence Street on
Monday, June 19 at 2:00 PM with Majors Ed and Luanne Barrow
officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. A
reception for family and friends will be held at the Church Hall
following the Interment. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to
the S.P.C.A. 10 Connors road Corner Brook, NL A2H 3G4. To sign the
