Obituary of Hennie Wubs (nee Van Nes)
Wubs, Hennie – Went to be with her Lord and Saviour on December 28, 2017 at the West Lincoln Hospital in the presence of her loving family at the age of 90.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Gary (1978), siblings Kees, Willem, Dirk, Annie and Tini. Devoted mom to Rich (Carol). Cherished and proud Oma to Heather and Jennifer. Survived by her sister Corrie (the late Wim), brother-in-law Bert and many loving family members and close friends. Hennie was a proud and faithful member of First Reformed Church and the Friendly Martindale Group. She had a saving relationship with Christ that allowed her to have a strength of character and calm assurance. Hennie enjoyed to paint, sew, embroider and other creative pastimes. Hennie will be lovingly remembered for her sweet smile and gentle nature. The family wishes to extend their gratitude and thanks for the care and love that was provided to our mom and Oma during her time at the United Mennonite Home and Ina Grafton Gage Home.
Family and friends may visit at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton on Tuesday from 2- 4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held and broadcasted live on Youtube at First Reformed Church, 1136 Vansickle Road North, or wp.firstrefchurch.ca/media/ on Wednesday at 11:30 am. Private family burial will take place on Wednesday morning. Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or First Reformed Church Fund in Hennie’s honour.
