Obituary of Helen Wright
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Helen Wallace Wright (nee Coon), on Monday October 30th, 2017 in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, W. Hal Wright (August 2011). This dynamic duo forged a lovely life together and their morals & values will live on in their family. Helen was born in Kingston, Ontario and spent her formative years growing up in Haileybury in Northern Ontario, where she met a dashing young man from New Liskeard, who swept her off to Sudbury. This highly driven couple then looked to Elliot Lake to start their long relationship with General Motors. In 1962 the General Motors dealership, Owen Sound Motors Limited, was available for sale and they soon moved their family to Owen Sound. This is a story of Hard Work, Family, Love and a Life Well Lived. Dear mother of David Wright & Karen Toms, of Victoria, B.C., Janice & Wayne McDonald and Ted & Patricia Wright, of Owen Sound. Loving Nan of Ashley Barfoot (Brent) with Chase, Devon McDonald (Alysha) and Sean Wright (Shari) with Mason. Missed by special sister-in-law Margaret Wright, of New Liskeard. Aunt of Lee Buchan of Georgetown, Stephen Chandler (Jennifer), of Stratford, Vicky Willard (Alvin), Jane Watson (Rick) and Carol Brown, all of New Liskeard. Predeceased by her only sister Doreen Chandler and her husband Ralph, brother-in-law Allan Wright, sister-in-law Marjory Sutton and her husband James and nephew Walter Buchan. A special Thank You to the staff of Summit Place for the care and kindness extended to our Mom during her stay. Mom managed to keep the staff on their toes. For all the Bridge Players, Curlers, Golfers and Snowbirds please raise a glass to our Mom & Dad. They will be missed.
