It is with great sadness the family of
Helen Willo Evans announce her passing on Wednesday, October 4, 2017
at her home, Alleira Living in Fredericton, NB. Helen was formerly of
Mactaquac and Upper
Kingsclear.
Born April 1, 1932 in Saint John, NB,
she was the chosen daughter of the late Clifford and Julie (Hawkins)
Barr.
Helen was a
faithful, long-standing member of the Upper Kingsclear Baptist Church
having served on several boards and committees until her health began
to fail.
She was
predeceased by her parents, her husband Reginald and one foster
brother, Norman Hitchcock of Perth-Andover,
NB.
Helen is
survived by daughters, Judy Wheaton (Ross) of Sussex, NB and Elizabeth
Evans (Brian) of Upper Kingsclear; sons, Terry Yerxa (Darlene) of
Hamilton, ON and Mike Yerxa (Vicki) of Zealand, NB; 8 grandchildren
and 6 great-grandchildren; nieces and
nephews.
The family
will receive condolences at the Upper Kingsclear Baptist Church, 15
Mazerolle Settlement Road, Upper Kingsclear, NB on Friday, October 6,
2017 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A service celebrating the life of Helen
Evans will be held from the same location on Saturday, October 7 at
2:00 PM. Rev. Sudesh (Peter) Valji will officiate. Interment in the
Kingsclear Baptist Cemetery immediately following the
service.
For those who
wish to remember Helen by way of a memorial contribution, the family
have suggested donating to the Parkinson’s Society or to a
favorite charity of your
choice.
