It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Helen Urbanczyk. Helen passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Kirkland & District Hospital, at the age of 92 surrounded by family. Helen is survived by her loving children, Chris Bivol and Jane (Tony) Pietrantonio. She was Baba to her cherished grandchildren; Grant Bivol, Michael Pietrantonio and Joanna Pietrantonio as well as her great grandchildren; Ethan and Charlie Bivol.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and Dr. Rys at the Teck Pioneer Residence, the doctors and nurses at the Kirkland & District Hospital Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit and Betty Smallwood in the Palliative Care Unit. A big thank you to Leo for entertaining Baba with his humour and Jean Roy for her companionship.
A private family interment will be taking place at a later date.
