LLOYD, Helen (nee Poettker) 1934 – 2017 – surrounded by her loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Thursday, April 20th, 2017 in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Keith Lloyd (2009). Cherished mother of David Lloyd (Laura) of Brockville, Sandra Kirkby (John) of Delhi, and Steven Lloyd of Delhi. Loving grandmother & great grandmother of Jason (fiancé Amanda); Michael (Lisa); Jamal; Kellie Mate (Joe); Mallory Moore (Trevor), their daughters Lily & Lucy; Kevin Lloyd and Tyler Lloyd. Helen will be lovingly remembered by her brother Peter Petker (Cathy) of Clear Creek; by her sister-in-law Cynthia Cowan of Simcoe; and by several nieces, nephews & extended family. Predeceased by her parents, the late Henry & Justina Poettker; a sister Anne Wiebe; and by brothers Nick, Henry & Vic Petker. A funeral service for Helen will be held at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe on Monday, April 24th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bill Wiebe officiating. Interment: Walsh United Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the Bethel Baptist Church Fellowship Hall following the graveside committal. Those wishing to donate in memory of Helen are asked to consider Puurfect Companions of Norfolk Cat Rescue & Adoption or the Simcoe & District Humane Society. Special thanks to the nursing staff of 4B at the Norfolk General Hospital for their care & compassion during our mothers final days, thank you all.
