Abbott (Gamble), Helen Josephine – Age 97, of Bass River, passed away on December 30, 2017, in Debert Court, with her loving family beside her.
Surviving are her children, Robert Patriquin, Brian Patriquin, Gayle Vance (Gary), Terry Patriquin (Sherry), Judy McLaughlin (William), and Cindy Grue; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by her first husband, Orville Patriquin; her second husband, Robert Abbott; son, Michael; daughters-in-law, Susan and Myrna; son-in-law, Stuart; six sisters and brothers.
Helen loved her family home on Edgewood, her flowers, and skunking people at crib.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Wednesday, January 3, at 7 p.m., in Riverside United Church, Bass River. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Riverside Cemetery, Bass River.
The family would like to thank the staff of Debert Court, Willow Lodge, and the VON girls, for taking such good care of Helen.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
