Obituary Overview
Heather Mott
Heather Mott – age 66 of Lower Sackville passed away on November 22 at home and surrounded by loving family. Born in Lachine, Quebec she was the daughter of James and Hazel Young. Heather worked alongside her husband in a family owned business for the past 20 years. She loved spending time with her two granddaughters, Eva and Sloan. Heather paddled at Senobe Aquatic Club as a young girl, spent time with her family supporting the Scotian Bowmen Archery Club and most recently participated in the Sackville Bowling League. Heather, along with husband Eric, was an active member of the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle club. She is survived by her husband Eric Mott, daughters Hayley and Laura, son Eric, mother Hazel Young, sister Barbara (Young) O’Reilly, brother Colin Young, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 29 from 7:00 to 9:00pm at Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. A Celebration of Life at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 2096 Windsor Street, Halifax on Thursday, November 30 at 1:00pm, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Blue Knights (BKNS1) who will distribute them to the specific charities they support.
