Heather Gendron (nee Gibson), longtime resident of St. Albert, Alberta passed away suddenly at the William J. Cadzow Healthcare Centre in Lac La Biche, Alberta on Thursday, September 28th, 2017
Born on March 27, 1946 in Montreal, Quebec Heather dedicated her life to her husband and children and made Alberta her home in the early 70’s. St. Albert, Alberta has been her home since 1982. She left many close family and friends behind in Montreal and remained friends with her childhood companions throughout her entire life.
Heather was a fantastic cook and enjoyed family gatherings with her large family and vacationing in far away locations. She was the mother of 7 children, 18 grand children and 6 great grandchildren and was close to all her family. She cherished her time spent with all. She had a smile that could light up the room and enjoyed making her family laugh.
She is survived by her husband Yvan Gendron, her children; Terry Millan and wife Alana Millan, Wendy Gargagliano and husband Eric Gargagliano, Robert Gendron and partner Jackie Kelly, Tracie Millan and husband Walt Brewer, Lee Gendron, Heather Tillapaugh and husband Russ Tillapaugh, Yvan Gendron Jr. and wife Kerri Gendron, and her grandchildren Michael Millan, Amanda Millan, Eric Gargagliano, Natasha Gargagliano, Christophe Gargagliano, Desiree Werbicki, Jesse Werbicki, Chantal Gendron, Dylan Gendron, Tyler Millan, Treston Millan, Cody Tillapaugh, Justin Emery, Corey Emery, Ethan Gendron and Ella Gendron and her great grandchildren Riley Townsend, Ameira Nieradka, Mayiah Nieradka, Alliya Nieradka and Baby Boy Nieradka, Ophelia Smiley and Trey Millan all whom live in Alberta and brought great joy to her life. She is also survived by her siblings, Henry Gibson, Doug Gibson, Lorne Gibson, June Gibson and her many nieces and nephews and brother and sister in-laws.
She is preceded in death by parents, Henry and Louvina Gibson.
A Graveside Ceremony will be at the burial site at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Edmonton, 14611 Mark Messier Tr, Edmonton, AB T8N 1K2, at 12 p.m on Friday, October 6, 2017, followed by a family gathering at the residence of Tracie Millan and Walter Brewer at 5 p.m.
The Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home in St. Albert, Alberta have been entrusted with her funeral arrangements.
