Hazel Irene Tucker – On July 22, 2017, Hazel Irene Tucker ended a short but courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family. Hazel was predeceased by her parents Martha (Molly) and Rudolph Tucker. She leaves to mourn her beloved husband of 64 years Absalom, children Loretta (Calvin) Fudge, Maxine (John) Read, Earl (Marie), Keith, Fern (Chris) Biggin, Gerald (Dorothy), Beverly (Gary) Hull and Glenda (Don) Green; grandchildren Jennifer, Heather (Edi), Mark (Rana), Julia, Stephen, Danielle, Corey, Deanne, David (Katie), Khrista (Darick), Curtis (Gizelle), Chantalle (Trevor), Jordan, Allison and Sara and fourteen great grandchildren. The family would like to give special thanks and appreciation to Dr. Andrew Furey and the staff of 5 North A, Health Sciences Center, for their dedicated support and care to mom during her last days. Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, St. John’s, on Sunday, July 23rd, from 7:00pm-9:00pm; and on Monday, July 24th, from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. Service of thanksgiving and remembrance will take place at 2 pm Tuesday, July 25th at The Salvation Army St. John’s Citadel Corps, 25 Adams Avenue. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Salvation St. John’s Citadel Home League; Team Broken Earth (www.brokenearth.ca) or a charity of ones choosing.
