Hattie Patricia (Pat) Russell – 1919-2017

It is with sadness that we announce the death of Hattie
Patricia (Pat) Russell on Friday September 8th,
2017 at the age of 98.
Born in Kingsclear on July 6th, 1919,
she was a daughter of the late George and Frances McKay.
Besides her husband Jack, she was predeceased by all her siblings;
Dennis, Annie, Joe, Earl and Fannie. Pat Leaves behind her
children; Betty Muir, Jackie Clayton and Debbie Russell (David Cozac)
and several grand and great grandchildren.
Pat and Jack’s Place was a popular restaurant in
Barker’s Point in the 1940’s and
50’s. For over 26 years, Pat worked on banquets at
the lord Beaverbrook Hotel.
Retirement was spent in the friendly community of Keswick
Ridge, enjoying a large garden, raising chickens and Arnold the pig,
making maple syrup and cooking on a wood stove.
Their last years were spent comfortably at Ristiens Landing,
a short walk to the Legion, where Pat loved to dance every Friday and
Saturday until she was 97 years old.
Pat was a member of the Ladies auxiliary Fredericton Branch #
4 for 57 years.
Pat’s last year was enjoyed at Paradise
Villa. We want to thank the friendly, extremely kind staff
for their loving care of our mother.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday September
14th at 2 PM from Bishop’s Funeral
Home Chapel, 540 Woodstock Road, followed by a reception at
Bishop’s.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ladies
Auxiliary Fredericton Branch #4.
