Eugene Hatt age 85 of New Glasgow passed away on Monday ,December 25th
,2017 in the Aberdeen Hospital ,New
Glasgow.
Born in
Milton , Queen’s Co. he was the son of the late
Hastings I. and Sophie Hatt.
Hastings
resided in Big Island with the Cameron family in his early
years then went on to live in New Glasgow for most
of his life.
He worked
for Warren Maritimes until his retirement and received many
awards from the company.
After
retirement he transported cars for various Pictou County car
dealers.
Hastings
enjoyed tinkering in his garage and going for coffee with the
boys
Surviving
are his companion Ethel Richard
A
daughter: Andria Nairn (John Pitt) of New
Glasgow
Grandchildren : Jessica (Mitch) of New
Glasgow
Mitchell (Brittany) of New Glasgow
Greg of Pictou
Great
grandchildren: Lucas and Sarah
chosen
daughter : Elaine Gordon of New Glasgow
A sister:
Louise Nickerson of
Yarmouth
He was
predeceased by his wife the former Beatrice L.
Black
Cremation
has taken place. There will be no visitation or service by
request of the family.
Burial
will take place in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens at a later
date.
Donations
in memory of Hastings may be made to a charity of one’s
choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the
H.W.Angus Funeral Home.
