Obituary of Harold Gilchrist
Harold Edward Gilchrist, of Milton, passed peacefully with his family by his side, on Sunday, December 3rd, 2017, at the age of 87 years. Dearly loved husband of Janice Gilchrist (nee Sewell). Loving father of Catherine Cox and her partner, Rodger Woodroffe, of Brampton and Ronald Gilchrist and his wife, Juanita, of Mississauga. Proud grandfather of Ronald Banaay. Dear brother of Muriel Downs, of Owen Sound, Bill Gilchrist (Francine), of Barrie, Gordon Gilchrist (Jean), Roydon Gilchrist (Joyce) and Howard Gilchrist (Elsie), all of Alberta and brother-in-law of Ann Gilchrist, of P.E.I. and Gordon Knott, of Alberta. Predeceased by his parents, Charlie and Dorothy Gilchrist; his siblings, Jack Gilchrist, Fred Gilchrist (Margaret Carr), Betty Knott and Albert Gilchrist; his brother-in-law, John Downs.
A Private Family Service for Harold Gilchrist was held in the Chapel of the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Saturday, December 9th, 2017 with Rev. Ron Baker officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
