Obituary of Har Krishan LALL
Har Krishan, of Calgary, passed away in his family home on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the age of 80 years.
He was born on May 11, 1937 In Derababa Nanak, a village close to Amritsar, India. He was the only son of Labhchand and Prakashvati Sharma.
Har Krishan Lall began his Grahasta Life with wife, Bimla Sharma on February 20, 1958. They were married for 46 years and had 5 beautiful children: Savita, Pramila, Anita, Meenakshi, and Kulbhushan Sharma.
Har Krishan Lall could accomplish anything he set his mind to. He work at Agro Industries in Punjab for 28 years and before this, he served some time in the Shimla Police Force. Along with his regular work, he also had a variety of passions, some that received public recognition, namely his Poetry. Many of his poems were published in The Tribune.
Upon arriving in Canada, he became very involved in the ISKCON Calgary Temple and served tirelessly till the very end. His primary service was serving prasadam to everyone, and he was always one of the people to leave, making sure that the temple kitchen was cleam.
Above everything, his family was extremely important to him, especially his grandchildren. He always went above and beyond to make sure they were happy and taken care of, whether it be bringing donuts whenever he would visit or taking them to the Calgary Tower.
Har Krishan Lall left behind an extremely vibrant legacy and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of being in his association. He is succeeded by 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 1:30p.m.
