French, Gwendolyn “Gwen” (nee Ellis) – Passed away
peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener, on Thursday
December 22, 2016 at the age of 88. Predeceased by her beloved
husband Robert ‘Doug” French. Cherished mother of Brad
French (Wendy Lovegrove) and Sue (Jeff) DeBrusk. Proud grandmother of
Jeremy (Jen), Christopher (Valerie), Scott (Kim), Ashley (John) and
Nicole and great-grandmother of Caleb, Steven, Carter, Caz and
Mackenzie. Sister of Fay McPhail (Ed Landry) and sister-in-law of
Merle Ellis. Gwen will also be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews,
extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Russell and
Vera Ellis and her brother Keith Ellis. Cremation has taken place.
Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, where
family and friends will be received for memorial visitation on
Thursday January 12, 2017 from 7-9p.m. Memorial service will be held
in the funeral home chapel on Friday January 13, 2017 at 1:30p.m.
Interment will follow at Mount View Cemetery. As an expression of
sympathy, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lung
Association would be appreciated by the family.
