Gwendolyn (Gwen) Blackie
1927-2017
It is with great sadness the family of Gwendolyn (Gwen)
Blackie announces her passing on June 4, 2017 at the Dr. Everett
Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born on August 26, 1927 in
Fosterville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Clare
Howe.
Gwendolyn is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years,
John Blackie; sons, Brent Blackie (Carol) and Blaine (Cheryl Ann) both
of Halifax, NS; daughters, Lynn Campbell (Peter) of Welsford, NB,
Nancy Francis (Mike) of Moncton, NB, and Susan Pierce (Darren) of
Fredericton, NB. Gwendolyn will also be missed by her 10 grandchildren
and 3 great grandchildren
In addition to her parents, Gwendolyn was predeceased by her
sister, Patricia MacKinney and brother, Herbert Howe.
Gwendolyn was an active member of the Wilmot United Church
who will be missed by many.
Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home on
Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 12:00 – 2:00 with memorial
service to follow in the J.A McAdam Memorial Chapel. Interment will be
held at the Fredericton Rural Cemetery following the memorial service.

made to Canadian Diabetes Association.
