Gwen Marie Smith
1956-2017
Smith, Gwen Marie – Age 60 years of Troy, Inverness Co. It is
with great sadness that the family of Gwen “Dolan Arie”
Smith announce her passing at home in Troy on Thursday, January 19,
2017.
Gwen was born in Halifax; on March 18, 1956 she was a
daughter of the late Angus Graham (Judique) and Catherine (MacNeil)
Graham (Troy). Gwen poured her heart into everything; she cherished
her family, friends and her home. Nothing made her happier than having
a house full with music and laughter. She loved to travel, and some of
her favorite days could be spent with Blair on the motorcycle touring
any old country road or highway. Gwen was an avid gardener, with a
green thumb like no other; there was no lawn more green, nor no rose
more red. Gwen is survived by her husband, Blair; daughter, Chanda
Graham; many cousins and friends, and her cherished pup Coco. She was
predeceased by her brothers, Gary Graham and Dale
Graham.
Visitation for Gwen will be held Sunday, January 22 from 2-4
and 7-9 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
Funeral mass will be held Monday, January 23 at 11 a.m. in Stella
Maris Roman Catholic Church, Creignish with Father Hughie D. MacDonald
officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
