BARBARO, Gus Joseph–
Passed away peacefully, at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. Gus J. Barbaro, in his 99th year, was the beloved husband of Pearl (Schmidt) Barbaro, after enjoying more than sixty-nine years of marriage. In addition, he is survived by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters Anne, Margaret, Bessie, and Phyllis. Gus was a Navy Veteran of WWII and retired from Armco Steel in Guelph. Many thanks to the staff and volunteers at Hospice Wellington for their kind and loving care.
Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. A Vigil for Gus will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 3 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St. Guelph, on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society or to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated by the family.
