Obituary for Gregory “Greg” Pettit
After a short battle with cancer, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on December 15, 2017 at the age of 49. Beloved husband of Jennifer. Devoted and proud dad of Spencer, Isabella, Hannah and Seth. Greg will be deeply missed by his mother Gail Lines and his father Tom Pettit (Judy), his brothers Jase (Hawley) and Ken (Lisa), his sister Janice Core (Dan), his in-laws Randy and Brenda Scheel, brother-in-laws Chris Zylstra (Tania) and Paul Zylstra (Alisha), and many extended family members. Greg will also be missed by his many friends and his OLG family. Greg will be remembered as being a man who loved his family unconditionally. He was always the happiest when he was spending time with his family. Greg’s sparkle in those stunning blue eyes will be forever in our hearts. It is important to thank the family and amazing friends that were by our side, creating special memories over the last 8 months, special trips, helping with the house, bringing food and just being there for us in so many loving ways. A special thanks to all of the staff at the Stedman Community Hospice for all of their support and care during this difficult time. The family will receive friends at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford from 1-4 p.m. with a service celebrating Greg’s life to follow in the chapel at 4 p.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Greg can be made to the Stedman Community Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society.
