Obituary of Grace Strauss
Passed away peacefully, at St. Mary’s Hospital on Monday, September 11, 2017 in her 92nd year surrounded by her family. She was resident of Chartwell Assisted Living, Elmira.
Survived by her children Judy (James) Weaver, John Strauss, Peggy Ann (Peter) Swainston, Edward “Ted” (Wanda Carter) Strauss, Deb (Gary) Martin, 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, sisters Rita (Ted) Maclean, Glady (Ron) Martin-Berger, Mary Ament and sister-in-law Rita Strauss.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Jerome Strauss, daughter-in-law Bonnie Strauss, granddaughter Pam Wiebe, sister Anna Huber, her brothers Rev. Arthur Busch, Jack Busch and parents Charles and Isabella Busch.
Grace was a life-long resident of St. Clements, an honourary member of the Christian Mothers Society and was secretary of St. Clements school for many years.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Grace with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-8:45 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 8:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be con-celebrated at St. Clement RC Church, 3619 Lobsinger Line, St. Clements on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 10:30 am with the Rev. J. Martin Mikulski, S.A.C. and Rev. David Lewis as Celebrants. Interment St. Clements Cemetery. A reception will follow at the St. Clements Community Centre.
