Obituary for Gordon Harkness
Harkness, Gordon Nelson, of Parkhill, peacefully with family by his side his 91st year.
Beloved husband of the late Lois Elaine Harkness (1984). Together Gordon and Elaine raised their family, Dennis Harkness, Sandra Harkness, Jim (Lynda) Harkness, Nancy Harkness (Geoff Sawyer), Laurie (Dominic) Franze, Sherri (Brian) Masschelein.
Loved Grandfather of Lindsay, Scott, Dustin, Krystle, Jesse, Jenna, Dayna, Brandon, Dylan and Jordan.
Gordon was the youngest of 10 siblings, growing up in Teeswater, Ontario. He is survived by his sister Ina Ireland.
Local Barber, Gordon developed trust and friendships in his Parkhill community. Enlisting in the Royal Canadian Military in 1945, he completed his training and military exercises.
Gordon was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Parkhill, and later, London, Ont.
A private family service will take place with interment to follow at the Parkhill Cemetery.
