It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gordon Conners,
husband to Lynn (Hunter) Conners, announces his passing which occurred
on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Born on May 25, 1940, Gordon
was a son to the late Joseph and Vivian Conners.
Gordon had a great love of his job as a Diesel Mechanic, and
was employed with Western Star for over 30 years. He took
pleasure in the travel opportunities his employment gave him, and
would travel out west to bring trucks back east. In his
spare time, Gordon could be found in Norton on hunting and fishing
trips. He also enjoyed woodworking. Gordon was a member Glen
View United Church where he became quite depended on as their
handyman. He will be missed by all who knew
him.
Gordon is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lynn, their
children: Keith Conners and Blaine (Rachel) Conners, grandchildren:
Andrew and Aiden Conners, brother Rae (Elizabeth) Conners and nephews:
Allen and Gerald Conners along with several members of his extended
family.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111
Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where visitation
will be held on Saturday, March 18 and Sunday, March 19 from
2-4 and 6-8. A Funeral Service will be held at Glen View
United Church, 8 Upland Road, on Monday, March 20 at 11 AM.
Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of
flowers, remembrances may be made to Glen View United
Church.
