NAUSS, GORDON DOUGLAS
We, the family of Gordon Douglas Nauss, announce his passing on December 25, 2017 at the QEII. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Gordon Richard and Jeannette (Parsons) Nauss. Gordon was a member of the Sackville Independent Baptist Church. Before his retirement, he worked for Payzant’s Home Hardware for 30 years and better known there as “Papa Smurf.” Gordon enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. He was a people-person and would enjoy talking with everyone.
He is survived by his wife, Noreen (Napier) and by his daughter Karen and son Jim. Brothers Raymond (Betty), George (Chris) and sister Jeannette (Robert) Christie and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, David, in infancy.
