Gord Smith passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at his home in Calgary, AB at the age of 63 years. Gord is survived by his loving wife Mary; children Chris (Nicole), Julia (Sean) and Sean (Bronwen); grandchildren Connor, Liliana, Aedan and Wynn; as well as his brothers Dylan and Alex (Yvonne). Gord was born and raised in Charlottetown, PEI in an athletic home, where he was introduced to the sport of badminton as a teenager.
