1937-2017
The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital,
Charlottetown on Saturday December 30, 2017 of Gloria Edith Elizabeth
MacRae of Charlottetown and Spring Brook aged 80
years. Born in Clinton on November 27, 1937, daughter of
late Edison and Nellie (Dunning) Heaney. Wife of the late Hugh D.
MacRae. Mother of Nellie Thomas (Barry), Billy MacRae
(Robyn), Nancy MacRae, Shirley Ayer (Mark) and Barb MacRae (Brian).
Grandmother of Billy, Adam (Jill) and Laura Thomas, Liam
O’Handley and Madison Ayer. Sister of
Susan (Don) Trenholm. Sister-in-law of Louise Heaney and Bennett
MacRae. Also surviving are several nieces and
nephews. Predeceased by her son Walter MacRae, brothers Eric
(Blanche) Heaney and Robert Heaney; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law
Irene MacRae, Borden, Norman (Muriel) and Marion MacRae,
Eileen MacLean and Erma (Charles) Oakes.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation
on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Wednesday in the
Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment in
People’s Cemetery New London. If so desired
contributions may be made to the PEI Humane Society or the Alzheimer
Society.
