Glen Sickel

Glen Sickel, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at Hanover and District Hospital, Hanover on Sunday, July 02, 2017. He was 82.
Born in Brant on the farm, on August 5, 1934 to Herbert and Dorothy (nee Schreinert) Sickel. Handy from a young age, being a jack of all trades, Glen chose to be self employed as opposed to working for someone else. He enjoyed carpentry and loved to make furniture. After settling down and marrying Blanche (nee Gateman) they started raising their family.
Survived by sons Wayne (Kathy) Sickel, Bruce (Peggy) Sickel, daughter Jill McLean and her partner Ron Bennett all of Hanover. Loved grandfather of Jason (Samantha), Julie, Neil (Christine), Craig, Gavin (Jamie), Randi (Bob) and Kristin and great grandchildren Cael, Brock, Claire, Gray, Mason, Chase and Blake. Glen will be dearly missed by his dear friend Betty Viner of Hanover. Loved brother of Evelyn (Norman) Hossfeldt of Hanover and Caroline Adolph of London. Predeceased by his beloved wife Blanche (nee Gateman) Sickel.
Family and Friends are invited to Visitation held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 05, 2017 at 11:00 am. Pastor Lyndsay McGregor officiating. Interment in Hanover Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Hanover & District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
