Glen Mervin Ellis passed away suddenly at the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus on Friday, February 24, 2017 in his 81st year. Glen is survived by his wife, his best friend and his partner, Joyce Willet of Pikwakanagan, Ontario. He leaves to mourn his sons Gerald (Judy), David (Kim), Terry (Donna) and Dean; his stepchildren Theresa (James), Cindy (Wolfgang), Jennifer (Ivan), John & Jamie (late Kevin). He is survived by his sister Donna Bartlett & brother Ernest Ellis of Tillsonburg & brother-in-law Lorne Wagg. He was predeceased by his stepson Joe (Sharon) and his sisters Evelyn & Marlene. His greatest joy was his grandchildren, Nicole (Calvin), Tyler (Amanda), Derek, Steven, Colin, & Ashley (Leon) and his great grandchildren, Addison, Carter and his extended grandchildren. He will be missed by many nieces & nephews.
Glen worked all his life in various jobs that led him to make many friends and acquaintances. His greatest passion was creating beautiful cabinets, kitchens and his last masterpiece was a stand-alone mirror for “Miss Addison”.
Friends may call at Zohr Funeral Home, Eganville on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 11am. Cremation will follow. In memory of Glen, donations made to the Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by his family.
