Gladys Simpson

On July 13, 2017, Gladys Simpson of Edmonton passed away at the age of 97 years.
Gladys was born January 5, 1920 in Edinburgh, Scotland. She immigrated to Canada at the age of eight years with her parents, William and Annie Turner, five sisters and two brothers. She married Garfield Simpson at the age of 22 years. The family resided in Fort Saskatchewan from 1952 until 1998. For the past 19 years Gladys has resided at the Lamont Nursing Home where she passed away July 13, 2017.
Gladys is survived by her two children, Gary (Real) and Lois McIntyre (Don); nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
At Glady’s request there will be no funeral or memorial service.
A private Graveside Service will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Edmonton Distress Line, Suicide Prevention, 10025 – 106 Street, Edmonton, AB T5J 1G4. Rest in Peace, Mom.
