Gladys Hemphill
1922-2017
The death of Gladys Hemphill of Fredericton, NB, occurred at
Hospice Fredericton on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. Born in Debec, NB, on
March 10, 1922, she was the daughter of the late George and Gertrude
(MacMillan) Hemphill.
She is survived by her nephew, Jack Hickson (Melanie) of
Rothesay, NB; niece, Lynn Presley of St. Stephen, NB; great nephew,
Matt Hickson (Jill) of Hampton, NB and a great-niece, Susan Irving
(Chris) of St. Stephen, NB. In addition to her parents, she was
predeceased by one sister, Alma Hickson.
Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home, 160 York
St. in Fredericton, on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm. A
funeral service will be held from the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel
beginning at 1:00 pm. Rev. Scott Dunham will officiate. A private
family interment will be held in Woodstock Rural Cemetery on Houlton
Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice
Fredericton.
