Obituary for Giovanni “John” Giancola
Peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Saviour, John passed away, surrounded by his loving family on December 17, 2017 at the Brantford General Hospital in his 84th year. Beloved husband of 62 years to Nella (nee DiSabatino). Devoted father of Domenic (Giulia), Vincenzo (Cheryl), David (Kay) and Mark (Andrea). Proud Nonno of 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Survived by his brother Ed Giancola ( the late Jane) and his sister Kay DiSabatino (Eliseo). Predeceased by his parents Domenico and Filomena Giancola, and his sister Rosa DiSabatino. John will also be deeply missed by many extended family and friends. He was a long time employee of Massey Ferguson. On behalf of the family, a special thank you to the staff at Foxridge Care Community, and the Brantford General CCU and Palliative Care Units for all their compassionate care. The family will receive friends at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday at NEW LIFE ASSEMBLY, 85 Clench Ave, Brantford from 12 noon until the time of the service at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Farringdon Burial Ground. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New Life Assembly or the Alzheimer Society of Brant.
