Gerrior, Gillard “Gellen” Patrick – Age 63 years.
Died suddenly at home in Donahue Lake, Guysborough Co. on Friday, July
21, 2017. Born in Guysborough on March 17, 1954 to the late Simon and
Alice (DeYoung) Gerrior of Larry’s River.
Gellen was a free spirit, who lived life his way. He enjoyed
fishing, snaring rabbits and picking berries which he always shared
with his community. He had a big heart and always gave a hand to his
many friends when needed. He looked forward to hunting and fishing
season at the lake when brothers, Wilfred and Brian and friends, Joey
and Derrick would come from Halifax. He always looked forward to
spending time with his best friend, Danny.
Gullen is survived by sister, Carmelita; brothers, Douglas,
Wilfred and Brian; niece, Kimberly; nephews, Robert “RJ” and
Christopher; great-nieces and nephews, Dylan (great-nephew) will miss
Uncle Gill’s ice cream and berries that were waiting for him
when he came down for vacation; aunts, Lena and Nina and many cousins.
Besides his parents, Gellen was predeceased by many aunts and
uncles.
A funeral service will be held at a later date. Donations in
Gellen’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation of Nova Scotia.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of
Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Words of comfort may be
