October 23, 1930 – February 14, 2017
Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2017, Gilbert Wells, age 86. He was predeceased by: parents Hubert and Mabel Wells; Infant Brother John; Daughter Elizabeth Jayne and Son Gregory Arthur Cecil. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his Wife Winnie Roebothan; Sons Lary (Janet) of Corner Brook, NL and Geof (Cathy) of Gander, NL; Brother Arthur (Muriel, deceased); Grandchildren John (Catherine), Karyn (Rod) Seabright, Trudy (Greg), Steven Cranford, Jayne (Evan) O’Connor, Serena and Great Grandchild Carter Seabright; Son in Law Terry Bartlett; Brother in Law Cecil (Annie) Roebothan, Sister in Laws Lorna (Heber, deceased) Walters and June (Walter) Butler, also a large circle of family and friends. In keeping with Gilbert’s wishes cremation has taken place. Family will be receiving friends at Stacey’s Funeral Home, 60 Roe avunue, Gander on Thursday February 16, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday February 17, 2017 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Saturday February 18, 2017 from the Fraser Road United Church, Gander at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Reverend Kathy Brett. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donation in Gilbert’s memory may be made to the Fraser Road United Church.
