Entered into rest at her residence on Wednesday January 11, 2017, Gertrude Viola (McCulley) Campeau of Brockville aged 89 years. Beloved wife of the late Paul Campeau, dear mother of Georgina Scheel of Renfrew, Joe Campeau of North Bay, Phillip Campeau of Brockville, Maryanne Campeau of Sooke, BC, John Campeau (Alice) of Brockville. Gert is survived by her grandchildren Corey, Mark, Shannon and Caleb, her great grandchildren and her great great grandchildren, a sister Elizabeth Rafuse (Lochan), a brother Carl McCulley (Heather) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a daughter Paula , a son Thomas, her parents George and Alice (Schoffield) McCulley, her brothers Wylie, Wesley, Joseph, Harold, Nathan, Nelson McCulley, sisters Laura Martin and Dorothy Barkhouse.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Thursday January 19, 2017 from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be Celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. A Reception will follow the committal service at the Barclay Funeral Home. In memory of Gertrude, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Society or the Charity of your choice would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
